There is a dive bomber and suicide flying bomb that was German in origin I think, but you can’t tak epictures at that point. I think there are some online if you look. There was a guard for me so I didn’t try. Google glass is actually a good thing for this stuff if I had one!

Why the hell did you have a guard?

Behind that cowl exists the best part of the Zero, in my opinion.
Nice pictures.

There are some interesting things in how Japan interprets its war time actions. I was at the Tokyo-Edo museum a couple of weeks ago and they basically just talked about the U.S. Bombing raids, but not what led up to them.

The memorial museum has tons of info but really focuses on the men. Its located at a big shrine. Abe took heat visiting it.

I learned to fly on a Pentax KM 35 years ago. When I went digital, I sold my camera to the photography class at the high school where I taught math, about ten years ago. It was fun to see it around a student’s neck from time to time.

History is all about perspective. And while it’s usually written by the victors, there’s always room for spin by the losers. I would add, though, that the fire bombing of Japan was pretty horrific.
